Welcome to Gym Buggys - Get fit for a fiver!


A fun and effective balanced workout that you and your baby (toddler) can enjoy together. It’s a perfect opportunity for you to meet other mums and introduce your baby to tiny new play mates!

There’s no need for a gym membership, baby sitters or expensive exercise equipment, Gym Buggys will provide you with fun exercises that change from week to week so that both you and your baby can enjoy every second!

What ever your fitness level, Gym Buggys workouts are a great support system for mums wanting to get that pre- pregnancy shape back.

It also a great example to set for your children from a young age, that fitness is a positive and natural occurrence in his or her life. A lot of children resist exercise as they get older but as your baby enjoys the process, he /she will develop the foundation of healthy, lifelong exercise habits with the best workout partner of all – YOU!!!

These days it seems that celebrities whittle away the pounds gained during pregnancy faster than it takes to change a nappy! But for most new mothers a lack of time, energy and childcare means that your baby bulge persists for months and even years after giving birth.

Gym Buggys group sessions are emotionally as well as physically beneficial to new mothers. As a certified Instructor in Pre and Post Natal Pregnancy Care, the exercises I provide are safe and appropriate for your changing body.
You may find that the friendships you make with other mums in the group will be as important to you as the exercise itself.

The sociability of Gym Buggys, combined with elements of strength training, cardiovascular exercises, pilates, stretching and balancing moves ensures that the key focus is those ‘MUMMY MUSCLES'

What is Gym Buggys?
Gym Buggys is a group of mums just like you that focus on the fun and getting out and about with your baby (or toddler) and with likeminded people.
Its not just an exercise class but an opportunity to make new friends and get fit.

Its a total fitness programme for new mums to workout with their new bundle of joy!! It’s a great way to shape and tone your body back to beautiful and feel great about yourself!
If dads or grandparents wish to join in then they are more than welcome.

Where and when?
Choose a location that suits you best and try to arrive at least 10 mins before each class which begins at 10am as we set off promptly and wouldn’t want to leave anyone behind.
Its advised that you wait 6 weeks post vaginal birth and 12 weeks for ceasarean. It's also advised you consult your doctor before you resume exercise.

Tuesday's - Moyles Court Ringwood
Wednesday's - Meyrick Park (meet in the car park opposite the cricket pitch)
Thursday's - Poole Park (park in White Cliff Road car park just off Sandbanks Road)
Saturday's - Boscombe Seafront (Meet by Boscombe Pier) Saturdays must be pre-booked.

What can I expect in the session?
Class begins with a great warm up , stretch , power stroll and short circuit style stations filled with cardiovascular and strength training exercises and ending with a powerful fab ab workout.
You will burn tons of calories , tone your muscles, improve flexibility, strength and balance, all while chatting with other mums and spending special bonding time with your little treasure!

How long are the workouts?
The workouts last one hour which include a full abdominal workout and stretching
It’s a great workout for all levels of fitness, so whether you're used to regular exercise or have never been into fitness, Gym Buggys is great fun for everyone.

What do I need?
A good pair of trainers, comfortable sports clothing, sports bra (good idea to wear an extra support while breast feeding too), bottle of water, matt and towel… oh and don’t forget your baby!

Can I bring a double buggy?
Absolutely! It will make the work out more intense, but think of those extra calories you’ll be burning!

What if there is bad weather?
In the event of unfriendly weather I will contact you all in plenty of time to let you know if the class has been postponed.
With our ever unreliable British weather it’s always best to be prepared so pack the sun block and the rain covers.

What if my baby is unwell or gets restless?
My first priority is the happiness of your baby, so please tend to your baby first, I will stop at regular intervals for different exercises, so if you need to stop then you can always jog on and catch us up. If your baby is really throwing his/her toys out the pram and needs to go home, then I will happily credit you another class.

How much are the sessions?
GET FIT FOR A FIVER!

Each session costs just £5, but I sell the sessions in a booklet form, so that you can use the tickets as and when you are free. I understand that you and baby are not able to commit to a schedule all the time, which is why this ticket system allows you the choice of days, times and locations that suit both you and baby.
The key to getting back in shape is consistency, you keep coming and the pounds will keep dropping off!
